Appy Days Linky – April 2014

I have been blogging about iPad and iPhone apps for a while now. I often ask others for recommendations, and people share links to blog posts which showcase some amazing apps. I am frequently asked which apps we are enjoying the most at the moment, too.

On the back of this, I have decided to create “Appy Days” – It is a Monthly linky which will be open from the first to last day of each month. Feel free to share any iPad, iPhone or even *shudder* Android app reviews you publish. I will comment on each post which is linked up, and share them on my own social media channels as well.

My April Recommendation:

This Month, we’ve downloaded a lot of new apps. Some we’ve loved and some we’ve hated. This is the app Sam and Syd are currently playing with the most, though.

Toca Band by Toca Boca AB

This app costs £1.99/$2.99. It is basically a really easy to use platform which allows children to make their own music, DJ stylee. Imagine mixing a grand piano with a freestyle MC, or an opera singer with chattering teeth and a drum kit made out of pans. There are 16 different sounds to choose from, and 4 ways to use them. It’s a little hard to explain in writing, so here’s a quick video.

Sam in particular has really got into this app. He has amazed me at how he instinctively knows which sounds go well together. He is a fan of pairing up the Grand Piano and singing girl, but does experiment with the others as well. If your child likes music, chances are they’ll love this app.

This is just one of the apps we’ve been using this Month – I’ll add any other reviews I do to the linky as well.

If you’ve reviewed any apps recently, feel free to add them to the linky below.

I’ve made this snazzy badge too, which you can add to your app reviews too – if you like!
