We were recently sent a Jojo Siwa Bow Maker set to review. The set has an RRP of £14.99 is suitable for children aged 5 and over, and contains everything you need to make 4 “Jojo Bows”. Rather than spending ages trying to explain what’s included, I made this video so you can see for yourself and see how to use the set to make a bow.

As I mentioned in the video, the instructions weren’t great. My 5 year old quickly lost interest as it was “too hard” to do. I’m 34 and it took me a good 2 hours of head scratching to produce something which resembled a bow.

Once I found youtube and some decent instructions, the bows were pretty easy to make. My daughter still refused to try again, though so the dogs got to be my bow models…!

I’m sure you’ll agree they are pretty cute models too…?

Once made, the bows are pretty sturdy. Definitely as sturdy as the store bought ones anyway. I was lazy and used the included glue to fix the gems to our bows – they stayed on well, too. On the back, the clips are sturdy and the glue has held firm so far as well…

The main niggle with this set is the included instructions – they are almost useless. Once I found the below video, I found using the set much easier though. I have embedded it here in the hope it’ll help you (or your child) too.

All told, I’d say the set is good for children aged 8 and over, but far too tricky for younger kids to work out independently. If you’re happy to get stuck in and help them, then with the help of the above video you’ll probably do fine.

If you’re buying this for a child who adores Jojo or Jojo bows, they’ll probably love it – as long as they have access to the tutorial video shown above.
